Rice and Wholemeal Atta Released for June 2025

The Deputy Commissioner (Supply) of East Khasi Hills District has announced the release of rice under the National Food Security Act (NFSA)

The Deputy Commissioner (Supply) of East Khasi Hills District has announced the release of rice under the National Food Security Act (NFSA) – including both Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY) and Priority Household (PHH) categories – as well as Non-NFSA rice and Wholemeal Atta for the month of June 2025. The distribution will be carried out through the respective Fair Price Shops (FPS) across the district.

As per the release:

  • AAY beneficiaries will receive 35 kg of rice per ration card, while PHH beneficiaries will be entitled to 5 kg of rice per head, both free of cost.

  • Non-NFSA households will receive 7.105 kg of rice per household, priced between Rs. 12.70 and Rs. 13.00 per kg.

  • Wholemeal Atta will be distributed at the rate of 5 kg per ration card in urban areas and 3 kg per card in rural areas, priced at Rs. 10.50 per kg.

Fair Price Shops have been instructed to commence distribution promptly upon receiving stock. Additionally, all FPS outlets must clearly display the list of beneficiaries along with their hours of operation.

The public is urged to report any issues such as non-supply, under-supply, overcharging, or distribution of substandard quality goods to the office of the Deputy Commissioner (Supply), East Khasi Hills District, Shillong.
